Late 19th/early 20th Century. 2nd item: Chinese folding chess board, comprised of a square wooden case with carved images of dragons and bats and brass hardware, a black and white plastic board, the white tiles with colored engraved scenes and characters, with two red felt-lined pull-out drawers, each containing sixteen (16) green soapstone and sixteen (16) black resin carved player figurines. 2 5/8" H x 18" square. 2nd quarter 20th Century. The Estate of Margaret Harold Roberts, Lookout Mountain, Georgia. Condition: Overall good condition with natural age shrinkage, losses, areas of repair, separations to wooden cases. 1st item: Areas of loss, repairs, largest 2 1/4", to inlaid decorations. One dice with hairlines. One throwing cup with area of loss to base. 2nd item: Minor fleabites, surface scratches to player figurines. Fading to colored engraved images. One pull-out drawer does not close all the way.
