VIRGINIA FEDERAL CHERRY TEXTILES CHESTprobably Valley, late 18th/early 19th century, in early probably original surface, hinged lid with open interior with removable shelf, single dovetailed long drawer, original bracket feet, cherry with yellow pine secondary, 28-3/4 x 41 x 18-1/2 in.
Condition:
rear feet and brackets replaced, original front feet with later blocking, current brasses are replacements for original wooden knobs, lacking interior till, minor warping to facade with some separations at dovetails, original hinges somewhat loose, minor warping to top with extensive finish wear and stains consistent with early surface
