(11) AUTOGRAPHS OF VETERANS OF BUENO VISTA, MEXICAN WAR 1854, UNFRAMED, IN FOLIO Letter circulated at West Point asking for autographs of men who had fought in the Battle of Bueno Vista in the Mexican-America War of 1845-48. Many later found glory in the Civil War (on both sides). Written in Sattillo Mexico, July 23rd, 1847. (Legendary Class of 1846). Autographs include: W.W. Chapman, Capt. US Army; W.T. Two of the others died of yellow fever in the 1850's.
