Hoffler" and dated 1835. Elaborate carved Rococo style frame. Remnants of old Edward P. and William H. O'Reilly's (New York, NY, c. 1940s) auction labels en verso including one with partial title. Sight: 12" W x 10" H. Frame: 17 1/2" W x 16" H. Note: This scene is known in at least two other examples. Condition: Frame has been regilt and may not be original. Revarnished. UV light inspection reveals some tiny spots of restoration to violin and possibly to broom.
