  TWO PAGES IN LATIN ON FETAL VELLUMTwo pages in Latin on fetal vellum, possibly from "Doctrinale puerorum" by Alexander of Villedieu, circa 1300 a.d. This is a very precisely written set of four pages on one sheet, probably from a text on grammar, written in the early Middle Ages. The script is so tiny that it benefits from a magnifying glass to read. It has been contemporarily corrected, with the addition of page numbers in Arabic script. Dimensions: (as folded) 8.75" x 6.25". Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Condition: The vellum has been trimmed and possibly used as a book cover. It has binding holes, and a small piece is missing from one edge. There is a large stain along the fold.
