A Royal Vienna Porcelain Portrait Vase Signed "Wagner" Bulbous shape vase with flared rim reticulated domed lid with finial all raised on a scroll-design foot. Hand painted portrait of Princess de Lambale signed "Wagner" lower right. The body is richly decorated with foliate and scroll design grapes and vines in lilac ivory green and powder blue on deep burgundy background; bright and matte gilt highlights in relief. Marked with blue Bindenschild mark overglaze incised with "4" underglaze inscribed with "Lamballe/Dec:581/Depose" in black and "4471/39a" in iron red underneath. Measures apprx. 7"T x 4"D at the widest point.

CONDITION
The porcelain plaque appears in very good original condition. The gilt wooden frame has splintered to the corners. Inspection under UV shows a heavy even layer of varnish but no sign of retouching or repairs.
