(some loss to scabbard by left hand); the second of a Greco Roman male holding horn with lion skin draped over shoulder (HOA 11 in.) (verdigris to underside); the third after Bernanowitch Hirsch Feinberg (Russian, 19th century), a classical style portrait bust of German composer Richard Wagner, signed along with impressed Parisian stamp in the casting to recto (1813-1883) (HOA 9 in.).

A Hutschenreuther Gilt Bronze Dresser Box with Porcelain Portrait Plaque Signed "Wagner" German ca 1785-1900 The 3" circular hand painted porcelain plaque signed "Wagner" is inset in a gilt bronze lobed trinket box set up on scrolling cast metal base with cross pieces and central finial grotesque masks at the top with padded silk clad interior. The plaque is inscribed on the underside "Erbluht nach Asti" ('Blossomed' after a painting by Angelo Asti 1807-1903) with impressed Hutschenreuther circular mark with an MCHR intertwined monogram mark and hand written numerals. Measures apprx. 5-1/4" x 4-1/4" x 3-5/8"T.

GRAND TOUR BRONZE STATUE "WINGED VICTORY", G. SOMMER, N...Italian Grand Tour patinated bronze sculpture of Nike Winged Victory standing on a black marble sphere, attired in a classical robe, holding a bow, and extending a crown of olive leaves, with a later metal band with a red stone wrapped around her right arm, resting on a marble pedestal. Signed "G. Sommer Napoli" on verso of garment. 32" H x 18 1/2" W x 14" D. Late 19th to early 20th century. Note: the G. Sommer foundry in Naples was one of several Neapolitan foundries producing reproductions of Classical sculptures (including many unearthed at Pompeii and Herculaneum) in a variety of sizes and finishes during the last half of the 19th century as Grand Tour souvenirs. The Sommer foundry merged with the J. Chiurazzi foundry in the early 20th century.

Condition:
Overall good condition with chip to front of sphere, wear and chipping to base of pedestal. Some oxidation and light wear to metal.
