• WALNUT WRITING BOX W/HIDDEN GUN
  WALNUT WRITING BOX W/HIDDEN GUN COMPARTMENT An offering of a walnut panel writing box with darkwood sides and mother of pearl inlay that includes a hidden compartment for storing a pistol. It is designed for a single barrel percussion lock pistol which is included with the lot. The firearm consists of a bronze frame and octagonal-to-round barrel. The grips are crudely checkered grip panels which are poorly fitted to the gun. The origin of the firearm is unclear and may very well be a reproduction sourced from the Middle East or South-East Asia. The pistol is nested within a red fabric lined compartment underneath the writing surface of the box. Key is missing and there is a crack in the glass ink bottle.
