SET 4 WARREN MACKENZIE STUDIO POTTERY MUGSWarren MacKenzie (1924-2018). Set of four studio pottery ceramic mugs. Stoneware with white glaze and gray interiors. Marked along the footrim. Warren MacKenzie was a renowned Minnesota studio potter. A student of Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada, he is credited with bringing the functional Mingei tradition to the United States, and spreading it through his own art and mentorship of students during his long tenure at the University of Minnesota. Note: Lots 1-19 were purchased by a single collector from MacKenzie's showroom between 1989-2000 Dimensions: All (approximate); height: 4 in x width: 4 1/2 in x depth: 3 1/4 in.
