SCARCE UNFINISHED U.S. CALVARY BRONZE SCULPTUREBronze sculpture, U.S. Cavalry Rider, unsigned, partially complete, likely inspired by the western sculptures and paintings of Remington, Russell, Schreyvogel, Borglum, Farnham and many others, this sculpture is a trooper leaning to the left as his horse stumbles, his hat brim front is pushed back, he wears knee high boots, a belt with a U.S. marked cartridge box, a rifle, the right side with a U.S. saddle bag and blanket roll, the stirrups appear to be marked U.S., the horse is lacking rear legs, there are numerous sprues and vents still attached, approx. 9"h, 12.5"w, 8"d, 24lbs
