FRENCH EMPIRE STYLE WHITE MARBLE CLOCK & GARNITURE SETFrench Empire Style White Marble Clock & Associated Pair of Marble Garniture Urns. 1st & 2nd items: Pair of French Empire style white marble garniture urns, each with gilt bronze mounts, including a berry finial to the lid, floral swag and bacchus mask decoration to the body and a round foliate base, all on a square marble plinth with bun feet. 12 3/4" H. Late 19th century. 3rd item: French Empire style carved white marble mantle clock with gilt highlighted and carved decoration including an urn finial, rosettes, flowering urn and swags and resting on bun feet. Fitted with a bronze clock dial, works numbered 130. Fitted with an ebonized wood base and glass dome. Clock: 17 1/2" H x 8 1/4" W x 5" D. Base & Dome: 19 1/2" H x 10 1/2" W. Late 19th century.
Condition:
1st & 2nd items: Some scattered errant marks to marble, both lid undersides with minor chipping, one corner of base with chip. 3rd item: Old repaired breaks, repair and restoration to urn on clock finial. Scattered chipping to corners with overall scattered wear and some scattered shrinkage. Clock is not functioning, no pendulum, escapement door absent.

A LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE MOUNTED WHI...A LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE MOUNTED WHITE MARBLE MANTLE CLOCK, MID 19TH CENTURY, the circular berried leaf and convex glass bezel opening to a white enameled dial enclosing blue Roman hour chapters and black Arabic five minute numerals ending with stop bell lever, surrounding reticulated gilt metal hands and twin key escapements, reversing to a brass eight-day mechanism stamped with oval "ETABLISSEMENT / DE PARIS / MIROY FRERES," numbered "51273," set within a cylindrical case surmounted by a pierced ribbon tied laurel wreath cast bronze and a stylized flower filled urn over a stylized curling acanthus mounted underside, flanked by a pair of recumbent classical muses representing the arts of music and writing, on a breakfront rectangular white marble base with inset frieze panels of scrolling rinceaux mounts, over a guilloché mounted cavetto within a lappet panel and bellflower modeled border, raised on egg-and-dart cast toupie feet. Condition:
Good condition, patinated figures, and gilt bronze mounts are in good shape with nice patination, light buildup, a few oxidized areas and wear on some gilt areas. A LOUIS XVI STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED WHITE MARBLE MANTLE CL...A LOUIS XVI STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED WHITE MARBLE MANTLE CLOCK, WORKS BY VINCENTI, CIRCA 1855, centering a finely detailed spread-winged eagle hung with a ribbon tied floral wreath and supporting a circular drum form case, enclosing a glazed bezel opening to a white enamel dial with black enameled Arabic chapters and reticulated gilt steel hands above twin key escapements, illegibly signed and surmounted by a leafy pinecone finial over bow-ribbon tied berried laurel branches on a conforming caveto carved block, the upper structure mounted on a beaded and shaped rectangular marble base with fluted columnar sides, flanking an inset recess paneled apron embellished with a scrolling rinceaux bronze and raised on stylized berried laurel truncated toupie feet, verso clock mechanism stamped with circular pastille "VINCENTI & CIE MEDAILLE D'ARGENT 1855," and "MADE IN FRANCE," includes one winding key. Good condition for antique clocks of this age and materials including but not limited to surface buildup on white marble and bronzes, inscription on dial worn but lower area probably said "France," sturdy, lacking pendulum but includes a winding key. the pair of candlestick garnitures of white marble. each on an octagonal base. the candlesticks are in gold with two holders linked by a chain with an acanthus leaf scroll. divided by a pole with a pine cone finial with four acanthus leaves. the ormolu-mounted marble clock of a young woman sitting in thought. dressed in a toga she rests with her head down and arms crossed on her lap. her hair is wrapped with a gold netting and laurel leaves. the sculpture is atop a rounded mount with a clock with a gold boarder. the clock face has gold roman numerals. marked with clock maker f. 10 Gautier Rue des Fes Montmarte 3; on verso the clock is stamped and numbered 4 8 300 and inscribed 505g; on panel of pedestal marked with maker’s mark devaulx. height of candlesticks: 39 cm (15 1/2 in.); mantle clock dimensions: 44.5 x 27 cm (17 1/2 x 10 1/2 in.)
CONDITION
The sculpture, mantle clock and candlesticks are in very good condition.
