WILKINSON Two pieces of Civil War era militaria comprising, a Batty Type B copper Peace flask, 1850-58, having relief molded decoration of an eagle with a shield above clasped hands in an oval of stars and a US military trophy, marked Springfield Mass around spout; together with a US 2nd model 1864 pattern "Wilkinson" cartridge box, with the sub inspector mark for G.T. Woodbury on the bottom right corner of the outer flap, and marked 'W.H. Wilkinson, Maker Springfield, Mass,' on the inner flap just above the implement pouch containing tins, having an original closure tab. Provenance: From the Private Collection of William R. Collins, JR., Milton, Georgia. Approximate dimensions: Peace flask h. 10", w. 4", d. 1.5"; cartridge box h. 7", w. 8.25", d. 2".
