The lower section features a serpentine front with two doors opening to reveal a shelf to each side; measures approximately 74-3/4" high, 50-3/8" wide and 18-1/2" in depth. Marked to back. The carved tree of life capitals and the twin flowers on stem are extraordinary features. The interior is a frame with hickory laths plastered and originally painted a deep blue. The over-board is a restoration Unique so far as known''. Found in New Jersey estate. Originally was exhibited at the Shelburne Museum in Vt. aquired from private estate in New Paltz.
