Barrel marked, " WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29. 1866. OCTOBER 16. 1860. 40-60 W.C.F.". Tang marked, "Model 1876". Loading block marked, "40-60". Walnut stocks, metal frame, octagonal barrel. Standard sights. Barrel length - 28". Overall length - 42". Serial number corresponds to year 1887. Condition:
Bore is semi bright with shallow lands and grooves with light pitting. Barrel and magazine tube are thinning blue mixing with brown. The end of the magazine tube appears to be modified but is full length. The receiver has glints of blue and is otherwise brown. Hammer and trigger are brown. Wood is good with numerous dings. Action is excellent.

All original wood stock, carrying rings. 26'' round barrel with typical Winchester markings. Action works fine. Would grade as a overall good example. Measures 46 1/4'' overall. Sold with bag of parts include 2 replacement sideplates for the Winchester, other assorted parts of unknown guns.CONDITION: Note overall condition of stock with minor nicks and scratches, one of brass sideframes has been cleaned. Minor areas of surface rust on barrel. Call for condition.

Bore is clear and rifling visible but has seen heavy use. Action is smooth and strong. Barrel has a nice brown patina. The brass has a rich glow. Lettering on barrel is worn but legible. Stock has old dings and scratches. Includes a brass tipped cleaning rod. Circa 1874.

Clean bore good rifling strong action. Barrel and magazine have a plum patina some dings in barrel. Frame has a more motled plum patina. Bottom of brass lifter very dinged up. Some scratches in wood. Trapdoor does not work freely. Buckhorn sights are nice good balance. Circa 1888.
