Accompanied by factory letter. Beautiful oil finished wood clean bore great rifling. 80-90% blue remaining except for bottom of frame and lever. Very strong tight action clear lettering on all areas of gun. Winchester logos on grip and butt plates. Production around 1902. *requires FFL Form 4473.

Condition: Very good condition with an excellent bore.  It retains ca 85% original blue finish with some pitting along the right side of the barrel near the rear sight.  The receiver shows some thinning and is starting to turn brown.

  WINCHESTER DELUXE MODEL 1873 LEVER-ACTION RIFLE. Second Model .44-40 caliber 28'' blued octagonal barrel set trigger checkered curly walnut stock. S/n 75737. Accompanying this rifle is a letter from the Winchester Arms Museum (dated 1985) indicating that this rifle was shipped from the warehouse on November 23 1881. Additionally there is a letter from Roan Auctions attesting to the fact that this rifle (which sold in their March 1985 auction) was from the estate of John Woods Rich of Woolrich Pennsylvania and that he was the original owner. Set trigger does work.
