A Taiwanese Scroll Painting on Paper Sun Yunsheng (1918-2000) depicting a winding river with cliffs at the left margin buildings in the background and a raised dock visible through the clouds on the horizon. At the top left a calligraphic inscription (''Miles of beach rugged and winding / Surrounded by misty fog / Riding on the boat / Enjoy the beautiful mountain'') signed by the artist with two red seal stamps. Sun was a close disciple of Zhang Daqian. Height of image 26 1/2 x width 13 1/2 inches.
