Windsor writing armchair, poplar plank seat, upholstered writing arm fitted with drawer, swiveling music stand, brass casters, old painted surface with chrome yellow painted ground and green decoration, American, probably Pennsylvania, early 19th century, 47 x 37 x 33 in. Paint with wear and losses overall, early yellow paint possibly over original brown/red(?), some flaking especially on spindles, break and repair to one front leg at bottom rung, lacking drawer under seat, cracks and separations to writing arm, spindles fragile and one broken and repaired, three layers of upholstery evident (not examined under upholstery).
