This bird's form is full and round with a thin hairline crest and a classic paint pattern that is reminiscent of the famous Doc Starr wood duck. Unsigned. Identified as "WOOD DUCK" in pencil on bottom.

BLACK DUCK BY JOSEPH LINCOLN As Lincoln black ducks go, this one is a little larger than most, with a robust form and upswept tail. There are delineated wings and wing tips, feathering to its back, and unusual dotting on the wing patches, all done with a slightly darker shade of paint than the body. A highly unusual species. Unsigned. Identified as "BLACK DUCK" in white on bottom.
