DECORATED BOX AND WOODEN BUCKET. American mid 19th century mixed wood. Yellow painted box with black edging. Retains old dry surface. 5 1/2''h. 11''w. 61/4''d. And short stave constructed bucket with steel bands and old blue paint. 5 1/2''h. 11'' d. Box has cloth tape hinge repair twine replaces lid pull. The geometeric designs done in a lighter yellow seem to have been created by masking off the area and a few seem to have printed newspaper under the paint. Paint on bucket has loss including the white interior.
