YU CHANG CHINESE DOUBLE FUSEE ROSEWOOD CLOCKYu Chang Clock Co., China. Chinese bracket clock with a double fusee verge escapement, porcelain dial featuring Roman numerals with sweep seconds, cast brass bezel, housed within a carved rosewood case on a stand. Finely carved in Suzhou in the early 20th century. Marked along the front and back of the movement.
Height: 18 1/4 in x width: 10 1/4 in x depth: 9 1/2 in.

The Joy of Poetry)', 'Jia Wu Zhong Qiu Shu Yu Chang Jiang' (???????? written at Changjiang in the autumn of Jiawu year), corresponding to 1894 AD, and further signed 'Xi Quan Shi Zuo' (???? Made by Xiquanshi), whilst the domed cover with a peach as finial painted with his attendent and inscribed 'Fang Yuan Re Fa' (????
