A copy of The Imperial Family
A copy of The Imperial Family Bible, Containing the Old and New Testaments (London, 1858). In an apparently contemporary brass-mounted gilt leather binding by Richmond & Son of London in remarkably good condition, which is in a wood, cloth and half-leather case with dark blue velvet padded lining, which is apparently also contemporary. The top and one of the edge pieces of the case have become detached, but are present. The British Library's Database of Bookbindings comments that the binder's ticket of Richmond & Son is "uncommon".
