Pair Regency Newton's globes, celestial and terrestrial: each with brass mounts swiveling on mahogany and ebonized Regency stand, tripod bases fitted with compasses, both marked "Newton's", terrestrial globe dated 1818 with additions to 1821, celestial globe dated 1818, 39 x 21 in. Terrestrial globe in good repair with scattered scuffs and retouch to globe, scattered splits and losses to banded veneer, celestial globe with one impact damage in side and seam separations at equator with other abrasions, cracks and sun fading to ring surround, both with old probably original finish and original casters on bases.
